Meaning
The Three of Swords brings the three energy of Swords (Air): growth and early results, in the area of thoughts, words, decisions and conflict.
upright
Heartache, sharp truth, grief. Upright, this card leans into its strengths: heartache, sharp truth, grief. In a reading it invites you to notice where this is already showing up and to give it a little room.
reversed
Healing starts, release pain. Reversed, the energy is blocked, inward or overdone: healing starts, release pain. It is not a bad omen, just a cue to slow down and look at what needs care.
In love & friendship
In love: upright, heartache colours the connection; reversed, watch for healing starts.
In work & purpose
In work: upright, lean on grief; reversed, release pain may need attention.
